My Doula Services Include

I provide a no-obligation meeting so that we can meet, get to know one another, and to determine if my style and philosophies are a match with your needs.

During these visits we will discuss your preferences for your labor and birth and develop a birth plan.  We will also talk about and become familiar with common hospital procedures (and whether or not you wish to incorporate them as part of your birth plan), the various types of comfort measures we can use during your labor and delivery and we discuss and plan for successfully breastfeeding your newborn.

I will be with you throughout your labor and birth, at home and at the hospital, to provide you with continuous and undivided attention and support.  While my first priority is to care for you, birth willing, I will also take photographs of your labor and delivery and your very first family photos. In the highly unlikely event that I am unable to attend your birth you will be provided with a backup doula.  My backups are the experienced and respected doulas of B*E*S*T (Birth Empowerment Support Team).

Just after your delivery, I will provide breastfeeding support, staying until you and your new family are comfortable and ready for some “alone time.”

Postpartum visit:

A week or so after your baby's birth, I will visit you and your family to answer questions or address your concerns, offer assistance with breastfeeding and to admire your new baby!
